The HID cobra head street light consists of a compact 12/24VDC electronic ballast, 35W CDM Metal Halide lamp, Solar Charge controller, & computer designed one piece cast alumium reflector, (batteries, solar panels, & pole not included).

Standard HID street light fixtures mount the lamp in a horizontal position relative to the reflector, this results in the loss of reflected light as the lamp itself will block some of the reflection. The CDM35/70 Street Light utlizes a specially designed reflector that is mounted vertically so the reflector catches the light in a 360 degree radius reflecting more light on the task area with excellent cut-off behind the fixture and even light distribution.

CDM lamps are well known for their excellent color (3000K) unlike LEDs that are usually very blue (6000K). 35W CDM lamps typically produce 2700-3300 lumens and will operate in in excess of 10,000 hours. The CDM35/70 Street Light is available in 12VDC or 24VDC and for areas needing higher light output we offer a 70W version. 

The light housing is made of cast aluminum that is powder coated for optimum life. The ballast and reflector are housed in the sealed housing rated IP65, assuring many years of life.
